CM denotes centimeters as a unit, while On uses JP for a centimeter-based size row in its own guide. These labels do not, by themselves, identify foot length or insole length. Nike also warns that its CM footwear label differs from measured foot length. Check the definition for the exact source page and SKU. If it is missing, record the measurement meaning as unknown.
Shoe size records can describe different things. S1 and S2 are CuriCart product record examples. S3 is Alibaba platform field documentation. S4 is Nike brand sizing guidance.Sources: S1 THE ROGER Clubhouse Pro Style 30 · S2 Nike Mind 001 Style 16 · S3 Alibaba Open Platform size field docs · S4 Nike men footwear size chart
Four different records can appear during shoe research.
A seller or source-page size chart is information shown on the original Taobao or Weidian product record. It may be a table, an image, or text in the product description.
A SKU size label is the option attached to a selectable product variant. A label such as EU42, US9, JP27.5, or CM28 may identify an option. It does not explain the measurement method by itself.
Product-page conversion text is a mapping shown on a research page. A CuriCart product record may connect an EU label with US, UK, CM, or JP text. Treat that mapping as page-level product research, not as a universal brand chart.
A measurement image is different again. It may show a ruler or a measured part of an item. It should not be treated as the same thing as a seller chart unless the page clearly connects the two.
Record the full product title before reading a size row. Then record the source URL, itemID when visible, style, color, and selected size label.
A source page may cover several variants. A main product image may also show a different color or style from the selected SKU. Compare the title, option label, and product photos before using any conversion text.
Use the CuriCart Weidian product-link guide when you also need to confirm the source URL and itemID. A matching itemID helps identify a source record. It does not prove that a size conversion is accurate.
Look for the system named at the top of each row or column. Common labels may include EU, US, UK, CM, JP, millimeters, foot length, or insole length.
Keep the unit with the number. 27 cm equals 270 mm as a unit conversion, but a size option marked 270 is not automatically a measured foot length. The page must define what that number means.
Do not remove gender or region labels. The THE ROGER Clubhouse Pro Style 30 page shows a size record with EU, women's US, men's US, UK, and JP labels. Dropping part of that context can change the meaning of the row.
CM means centimeters, but a shoe-size label marked CM is not always the measured foot length. JP marks Japanese sizing. On says its JP sizes are in centimeters. In On's men's Cloudmonster Lumos size guide, JP 27 appears in the same column as EU 42.5, UK 8.5, and US 9. Read this row for that model only. Other brands may map the labels differently, and none of these labels confirms insole length or fit.
A centimeter value needs a definition.
Nike's men's footwear chart shows why this caution matters. Nike separates the CM size shown on boxes or labels from foot length in centimeters. So a CM label should not be automatically treated as a foot measurement unless the page explains that meaning.
Taobao can also show structured size information when merchants provide it. Alibaba's Open Platform size-component documentation says merchant-entered size data can appear in a product-detail size assistant. In the listed shoe category fields, foot length in centimeters appears as a defined field. That is useful context for Taobao-side size data, but it is not the same as a live seller listing. On a real product page, use only the current chart, labels, and definitions visible on that page.
Foot length, insole length, label size, and a CM or JP option can describe different records. If the page does not define the field, write CM meaning unknown or JP meaning unknown. Do not turn the number into a fit recommendation.
Photos cannot prove fit. They can still help you confirm that you are reading the right product option.
Check whether the visible shoe shape, color, upper, sole, and style details match the product title and selected SKU. Then compare the size label with the conversion text shown on the same record.
For example, the Nike Mind 001 Style 16 page shows EU, US, UK, and CM labels. This is useful for recording the page's stated mapping. It does not prove that the CM value is foot length, insole length, or the right size for a specific person.
Different shoe records can show different label patterns.
The Golden Goose Super-Star White Style 7 page shows EU labels with US, UK, and CM text.
The PRADA America's Cup Navy Style 12 page also shows EU labels with US, UK, and CM text.
The THE ROGER example uses women's US, men's US, UK, and JP labels. The Nike Mind example uses EU, US, UK, and CM labels. These differences are a reason to preserve the exact row instead of building one replacement chart from several products.
Open the current source record and look for the same product title, style, photos, and size option. If a size chart is visible, check whether it defines each unit.
The CuriCart examples in this guide use Weidian source records. Their source URLs are useful for checking itemIDs and source-page context. A working source URL does not confirm a size field, current availability, final price, or fit.
No current Taobao seller product example is used in this guide. Taobao-side field context comes from Alibaba's own size-component documentation, not from a live seller page. On an actual product record, use only the chart, option labels, and definitions visible on that current page. Do not assume that a Weidian conversion applies to Taobao.
Before choosing where to continue, record these fields:
Product title: Save the complete name and model shown on the research page.
Source URL: Keep the current Taobao or Weidian address and item identifier when visible.
Selected SKU: Record the exact style, color, and size option.
Chart owner: Note whether the information comes from the seller page, CuriCart, a brand guide, or a measurement image.
Size system: Keep EU, US men's, US women's, UK, CM, JP, or millimeter labels with each value.
Measurement meaning: Write foot length, insole length, label size, or unknown exactly as the page supports.
Photo match: Confirm that the visible product and color match the SKU you are researching.
Conflict note: If two records disagree, save both values and mark the conflict unresolved.
For broader platform context, use the Shopping Agent Platform Guide. The CuriCart Buy Research Guides hub covers other product-research questions.
A size chart can document labels and stated measurements. It cannot promise fit.
The chart also cannot confirm the inside length of a future item unless that measurement is directly defined and shown. Product photos cannot prove width, hidden construction, comfort, or measurement accuracy. A working source URL cannot confirm availability or a final option-level price.
Treat missing or conflicting information as unknown. A careful record is more useful than an unsupported conversion.
Use these category cards to compare current CuriCart product records with product photos, listed prices, SKU context, and source-page details.

Nike Mind 001 Slides - Style 16Compare the visible EU, US, UK, and CM options with product photos.View product detailsNo. Do not assume that they are. Read the exact SKU label and the seller's current chart. A number can be an EU label, a CM or JP label, a millimeter-based label, or another seller-defined option.
Not always. A CM value should only be treated as foot length when the page clearly defines it that way. Nike's footwear chart shows that CM labels and foot length can be separate records.
No. Foot length measures the foot. Insole length describes a measurement inside the shoe when that measurement is provided. If a chart does not say which one it uses, mark the field as unknown.
No. Photos can help match the product, color, style, and visible label to a SKU. They cannot confirm fit or an inside measurement that is not shown.
Save each value with its source. Check that all records describe the same product and option. Then check the current seller or third-party page for clarification. Do not average the numbers or choose a conversion without evidence.
